Sadhguru: Today, after a saga of three lifetimes, the Dhyanalinga stands in full glory. I don’t really know what to say – whether I am happy, ecstatic or what – to present this, to offer this to the world. Whatever words I use would be improper, but in a way I am relieved that it is done. This is not my will, this is my Guru’s will that this must happen. These three lifetimes have been spent towards fulfilling this, with the Grace of the Guru and with so many people’s love, support and understanding – knowingly or unknowingly, willingly or unwillingly, consciously or unconsciously – in making this happen. I wish to bow down to all of them; this is the greatest gift that could be offered to future generations.
The day I drop this body, I’ll still very much be around for a minimum of eighty years after that to ensure that everyone who was in some way touched by me, are all cleaned up from the planet before I leave completely.
You know, I’ve made a promise, eighty years after I am dead, I will still be on. The day I drop this body, I’ll still very much be around for a minimum of eighty years after that to ensure that everyone who was in some way touched by me, are all cleaned up from the planet before I leave completely. I thought eighty years is a good amount of time to see all of you dead! There will be no physical presence. For physical presence, we will establish enough systems but the presence will be much, much stronger than the way it is right now because there will be no burden of carrying a physical body.
These are different ways of looking at life. Within the family and friends, these things happen – some people say, “I don’t want to see you dead, I would like to go first.” That’s one way. Other kinds of friends are, “I will see all of you through before I go.” I have no problem about seeing you dead. I would like to see everyone through and then go. This is not considered friendship in the world, but this is a true friend who is willing to go through life in such a way that everyone and everything that’s dear to him, he will see it dead before he goes.
